Removal of Conditional Residency

(I-751 PROCESSING)

Current immigration law requires people who get their green cards through marriage to remove conditions on residence if the marriage is less than two years when the petition was filed. Green card holders in this category must file Form 1-751 to remove the condition, 90 days immediately before the second anniversary of the date they were accorded conditional resident status. If you have dependent children who acquired conditional resident status concurrently with you and came to the U.S. within 90 days from the date of your arrival, then you could include the names of your children on your 1-751 petition.

Children who came to the U.S. after 90 days from the date of your adjustment must file a separate Form 1-751 to have their conditional status removed.

The Law Office of Emmanuel Nana Poku knows how to get the condition on your permanent residency removed.
