He operated a successful insurance brokerage and tax preparation firm for over 16 years before going to law school. Prior to law school, he obtained a doctorate degree in Higher Education from Columbia University, Teachers College and taught business courses at Bronx Community College as an adjunct lecturer for about nine years.
Lawyer Poku is an alumina and one of the pioneers of Concord University School of Law (the first internet law school in the U.S), Los Angeles, CA. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2005 and has been practicing immigration law ever since.
